Eat, Drink, and Be Merry

Our chavurah joined us in our first attempt at homemade hamentashen, triangular-shaped cookies eaten on the Jewish holiday of Purim. Thanks to the recipe and advice from Aunt Debbie ("the key to this recipe is KEEP MIXING and kneading. ... Then right after you've almost given up twice, it will form a dough.")

This type A Mommy had six identical stations set up for six unique little chefs, each with its own mixing bowl, premeasured ingredients, and fillings. Its quite amazing what you can accomplish when the children are otherwise occupied.

There is limited photographic evidence of our eating and drinking, but there definitely was merriment.
