We're Doing Okay
Mira and Jacob's school celebrated "Week of the Young Child" last week. Personally, I don't know of a week in our lives that isn't focused around the young members of our family. And although their mother missed the ball on Monday and gasp didn't dress them in something purple, we were sure to send them in pajamas on Tuesday, bring stuffed animals with them on Wednesday, and, of course, find the perfect pairs for "mismatch/silly sock day" on Thursday. On Friday, the school sponsored a picnic lunch and invited all the parents to join their wonderful young children.

The picture above doesn't adequately capture Jacobs squeals (Mommy AND Daddy! At school! With pizza!) but the one below does (as well as capturing exactly what he looks like when Mommy and Daddy let him eat pizza).

Mira wanted another (and another) piece of pizza. After piece number one, she calmly (!) tasted some of her lettuce. After piece number two and some watermelon, Mommy asked her to take a picture with her. Mira, somehow, preferred getting pizza to taking the picture.

Mommy had no other choice but to pull out the big guns.
Someone got tickled.
