Jacob Yuri: 2 Months!

Two month old Jacob is a sweet, beautiful baby. He is definitely a serious little man, often furrowing his brow and only occasionally sharing an accidental smile. He sometimes has trouble distinguishing between "awake" and "hungry," believing that if he is awake he should be eating - this explains why he now weighs more than twelve pounds!

Jacob has started to have longer and longer periods in the day where he kicks and talks. He loves his baths and is very content to leisurely soak in the bathtub as long as I will let him. And the big milestone that Mommy has been waiting for - he now looks at you when you talk.

He continues to be very easy going and adaptive, as if he was prepared for the life of a second child. Mira is very "helpful" in burping him, bathing him, and holding him. She sweetly responds to his cries with "It's okay Jacob; you don't have to cry." She loves to tell us "he is my best friend," a title that she hasn't applied to anyone else.

I love my children!

After a talk with Mommy, Jacob decides its time to start making eye contact.

Jacob also decides he can hang out with Daddy without screaming at the top of his lungs.

A rare (weekly? monthly?) bath

Who's the handsome baby in the mirror?

Another bathtime!

Gotta love that tummy time.

My serious little man.

And being the picture-obsessed mother that I am, of course we have some professional portraits to capture Mr. Jacob Yuri at 2 months old. Just want to keep things legal and give credit where credit is due: these pictures were taken at JCPenney. The website reads that "professional portraits are protected by copyright laws; [images] are intended for electronic viewing and sharing only. " Here are some of my favorites.

(This one reminds me of Uncle Mitch's baby pictures, as many pictures of Jacob do)
